The Tieguanyin Tea Competition is held every spring and winter. Around 500 teas are sampled and graded by the judges. Try the First Prize 頭等獎, Gold Medal 金質獎 and Silver Medal 銀質獎 teas of the 2024 Winter Tieguanyin competition held by the Farmers’ Association of Muzha, Taipei. Each tea in the set is distinct in its aroma and taste. You also get 15g of Bronze Guan Yin - a modern interpretation of the classic Tieguanyin tea as a bonus.
The Hongxin Wai Wei Tao cultivar (the original Tieguanyin cultivar brought to Taiwan) is harder to grow than the now more popular Jin Xuan and is not as sweet in taste so it's much harder to find. Enjoy the classic Tieguanyin in its purest form.
Read more about the competition in our blog post. Please note that the competition gift box is not included in the set.
